A través de una Declaración Pública Concejo Municipal de Putaendo expresó su repudio y molestia con la Ganadera Tongoy, luego que por escrito esta empresa autorizara a este organismo poder ingresar a la cordillera y a última hora sin justificación alguna abruptamente les negó dicho permiso a las autoridades municipales. El comunicado emitido por el Concejo Municipal de Putaendo, sostiene que; “La empresa denegó, sin argumentación, un permiso que se había otorgado en días previos, para que el Concejo Municipal visitara el sector de Las Tejas con el objetivo de conocer el posible emplazamiento de una central hidroeléctrica en el Río Rocín.”
Frente a lo cual el Concejo Municipal expresa su molestia; “por la falta de respeto y discriminación que tuvo la Ganadera Tongoy con el municipio y la comunidad de Putaendo.”
En ese contexto por unanimidad, el Concejo Municipal afirma que nada explica una actitud hostil por parte de los dueños de la Ganadera Tongoy; “después de que hace unos meses tuvimos una reunión donde se establecieron estrategias de trabajo conjunto para mejorar las condiciones de quienes viven en ese sector y que por más de 40 años han cuidado los terrenos de la empresa, sin ninguna remuneración.”
Más adelante la declaración los concejales indican que; “Al denegarnos el acceso, sentimos que hemos sufrido una discriminación inaceptable, toda vez que en el último mes la Ganadera Tongoy ha autorizado a cientos de personas a acceder, recorrer e, incluso, acampar en su predio cordillerano. Para poner las cosas en contexto, estamos hablando de la misma empresa que se adjudicó 46 mil hectáreas a un precio vil, en tiempos de la dictadura.”
“En consecuencia, el Concejo Municipal ha acordado realizar todas las gestiones tendientes a garantizar el libre acceso a los bienes nacionales de uso público que se encuentran al interior del predio de la Ganadera Tongoy. Del mismo modo, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la protección del patrimonio medioambiental, paisajístico e histórico de la zona cordillerana de la comuna de Putaendo.”-concluye el comunicado.
