Fuego para cocer duraznos, pasadas las 14:00 horas de este miércoles, desató incendió que dejó daños de consideración en casa habitación en la población El Esfuerzo en la ciudad de San Felipe. Oportuna llegada de bomberos y “costumbre” de propietario de mojar paredes impidieron que el fuego destruyera la vivienda. (Foto: Incendio en población El Esfuerzo en San Felipe)
El Comandante del Cuerpo de Bomberos de San Felipe, Juan Carlos Herrera, precisó que el siniestro se originó en una vivienda ubicada en el pasaje Los Copihues en la Población El Esfuerzo; “una vez que llegó la primera unidad se determinó que el fuego estaba totalmente descontrolado, el cual se había iniciado momentos después que el propietario había salido del inmueble.”
“Esta persona había hecho un fuego para calentar agua donde iba a cocer unos duraznos y salió uno minutos de la vivienda, pero a poca distancia se dio cuenta que estaba saliendo gran cantidad de humo, percatándose que era de un cuarto donde él tenía una especia de fogata con un recipiente de agua. Cuando volvió a la casa ya las llamas estaban descontroladas consumiendo gran cantidad de ropa que había en ese cuarto o bodega. De ahí el fuego se propagó a la casa principal quemando un pared de paneles.”-contó Herrera.
Afortunadamente “costumbre” del dueño de casa de “mojar” las paredes para refrescar la vivienda, actuó como retardante del fuego; “el todas las mañanas y después de almuerzo mojaba las paredes que eran de madera para refrescar la casa y eso sirvió como retardante del fuego o sino habríamos tenido un incendio totalmente descontrolado y fácilmente habrían sido unas cuatro casas las afectadas, porque en esa población las viviendas son de madera.”
El Comandante de Bomberos, ratificó que el incendio comenzó en el cuarto donde el propietario tenía un fuego para cocer duraznos; “y salió a comprar por escasos minutos, pero toda la ropa y otra materiales que había junto al fuego ayudaron que las llamas se propagaran rápidamente en el cuarto, ayudadas además por alta temperatura reinante a esa hora en la ciudad.”
En el combate del fuego trabajaron cuatro compañías del Cuerpo de Bomberos sanfelipeño; “porque ese sector lo tenemos calificado de alto riesgo por existir gran cantidad de casas de madera.”
