El responsable de la Campaña Municipal de la UDI en visita a la zona, ratificó que Renovación Nacional propuso a Edith Quiroz y la Unión Demócrata Independiente tiene como precandidato a Manuel Rivera, por lo que se acordó zanjar la nominación vía encuesta; “porque la verdad es que en Chile Vamos hemos definido la gran mayoría de las candidaturas a través de encuestas. En varios lugares se eligió por primarias, en otras se buscó el mejor candidato en común acuerdo y en otras decidimos aplicar encuestas como mecanismo d decisión y esa es la realidad en la comuna de Los Andes.”
El Diputado Silva indicó que el resultado de esta encuesta debería conocerse a dentro de los próximos días; “donde nosotros como UDI esperamos un triunfo de Manuel Rivera y poder iniciar rápidamente la campaña porque hay una tarea delante que es volver a ganar esa alcaldía.”
¿Esta encuesta será presencial, telefónica?
“Hay un tipo de encuesta que se ha trabajado en el sector, habitualmente es telefónica con una selección de muestras que permite medir el interés de las personas a votar y a partir de ahí hacer una selección de personas. Lo que hemos hecho los partidos es ponernos de acuerdo que un grupo de expertos definan la metodología y la institución con la cual se está midiendo y esperamos tener los resultados muy pronto. Porque estamos contra el tiempo, pero ya se están conociendo resultados como fue el caso de Evelyn Matthei que vía encuesta será la candidata en Providencia.”
¿Edith Quiroz es independiente y si el resultado no la favorece ella podría después irse por fuera?
“Si, ella es independiente y la presenta Renovación Nacional a esta encuesta vinculante, porque hay un compromiso del Chile Vamos de elegir a sus candidatos a través de esta vía y por eso quienes se someten a la encuesta tienen que honrar su palabra y si alguien pierde y se va por fuera la gente sabrá que esa persona no tiene compromiso. Porque para hacer una encuesta es porque las partes aceptaron la condiciones.”
