De acuerdo con los lineamientos estratégicos definidos para el período 2014-2018, la nueva sucursal en Santa María forma parte del plan de apertura de nuevos puntos de atención que considera la habilitación de oficinas en dependencias municipales.
El presidente de BancoEstado, Jorge Rodríguez Grossi, se refirió a la apertura de la nueva oficina, asegurando que “sabemos que esta sucursal responde a un viejo anhelo de los más de 15 mil habitantes que dan vida a esta comuna. La poca presencia bancaria ha obligado por muchos años a sus habitantes a viajar hasta otras ciudades, como San Felipe, para hacer sus trámites, cobrar pensiones, beneficios sociales, depositar o pagar servicios. Desde ahora, ya no tendrán que gastar tiempo y dinero en traslados, porque la sucursal de BancoEstado está instalada aquí, en Santa María”.
“Estamos convencidos que proyectos como estos permiten avanzar en la construcción de un país más inclusivo, equitativo y solidario”, agregó el ejecutivo.
Por su parte, el alcalde de Santa María, Claudio Zurita, aseguró que “es un gran día para los vecinos, un verdadero sueño. Es el fruto de un trabajo de años que derivó en la construcción de esta sucursal, que permitirá el acceso financiero a más de 15 mil habitantes”.
La sucursal de Santa María es atendida por cinco funcionarios y tiene una plataforma comercial, que otorgará créditos de consumo e hipotecarios; cambio de moneda extranjera (dólar y euro); y apertura de Cuenta RUT, cuenta corriente y cuenta de ahorro. También dispone de cajero automático, dispensador de saldo, teléfono para emergencias y una plataforma para microempresarios.
Actualmente, BancoEstado tiene 392 sucursales en todo el país, red de atención que se complementa con 107 ServiEstado, más de 19 mil puntos de atención CajaVecina y más de 2.300 cajeros automáticos. Por su parte, en la región de Valparaíso la entidad cuenta con 42 oficinas, 13 ServiEstado –que atienden en horario extendido-, 2.018 puntos de atención CajaVecina y 269 ATMs.
