Con la presencia de distintas autoridades, este martes en avenida Yungay se dio el vamos al proyecto de “Construcción de ciclovías y Gestión de Tránsito para San Felipe”, medida que busca fomentar uso de la bicicleta como medio de transporte saludable, descongestionar el tránsito y reducir contaminación de las ciudades. Uno de los más contentos es Luis Molina, perteneciente al grupo de ciclistas “Furiosos Aconcagua”, quien tras enterarse del inicio del proyecto señaló que “es bueno, porque así es más seguro para nosotros. Transitamos a la par con los vehículos y nos pueden pasar a llevar, por lo que sería buena iniciativa tener ciclovías. Esperamos que esto siga más adelante por otros lugares”.
El Seremi Minvu, Rodrigo Uribe, explicó que la primera etapa del proyecto involucra la construcción de 235 metros lineales de nuevas ciclovías bidireccionales y de 2 metros de ancho, que irán por la calle Yungay, entre Freire y O’Higgins (sin cortes de tránsito ni desvíos), y serán ejecutadas por la empresa Constructora Haxter Ltda. “Estamos dando inicio a una obra emblemática del programa de la Presidenta Michelle Bachelet, que dice relación con el cumplimiento de una obra emblemática del Gobierno. Son 9,6 kilómetros que se establecen como ciclovías en la comuna de San Felipe, que está inserto en un plan maestro integral de tránsito. En ese sentido, hoy estamos dando inicio al proyecto con estas dos cuadras que se inician de ciclovías”.
La iniciativa cuenta con una inversión del Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo de más de $43 millones de pesos para su fase inicial, a través del Programa de Vialidad Urbana, y tiene su origen en un diseño de ingeniería desarrollado por Sectra para un Plan Maestro de la Gestión de Tránsito de la comuna que busca mejorar la utilización y operación de la red vial, conformando una red coherente de ciclo rutas para impulsar el uso de este saludable medio de transporte.
Esto lo destacó el Gobernador de la Provincia de San Felipe, Eduardo León, quien señaló que “sabemos que San Felipe tenía muchas cosas al debe, parques, ciclovías, pavimentación de calles, pero hoy como Gobierno nos sentimos satisfechos porque los compromisos que tomamos con la ciudad se están cumpliendo, bajo la excelente gestión del municipio de San Felipe y por supuesto con un trabajo fuerte desde el Minvu y Serviu”.
Mismas palabras de satisfacción del Alcalde de San Felipe, Patricio Freire, quien destacó la alianza entre el municipio y el Gobierno, ya que “siempre soñamos con que San Felipe tuviera ciclovías. Hoy es el punto de partida de este gran sueño de los sanfelipeños de tener ciclovías en nuestra querida ciudad”.
Cabe destacar que el “Plan Ciclovías” mencionado por la Presidenta Michelle Bachelet durante el discurso del 21 de Mayo del 2014, contempla la construcción de 190 kilómetros de Arica a Punta Arenas, de los cuales 18,6 km serán en la Región de Valparaíso, con una inversión aproximada de $40 mil millones de pesos a nivel país y cerca de $13 mil millones para nuestra región.
Específicamente en la comuna de San Felipe se ejecutarán 9,6 km de ciclovías, con una inversión de más de $4 mil millones de pesos, las que se construirán por etapas, comenzando por la que inició faenas en calle Yungay.
La última de Freire, anda sacándose fotos ahora con Muena y Jeannette Sotomayor y como vocero de RN anda diciendo que Rodolfo Silva no irá de candidato.
Esa no se la cree ni él.
Ojala que este proyecto tenga continuidad… y no quede solo en un par de cuadras.

Con el aumento progresivo de los vehículos, el ciclista tiene que ir respirando, entre otras cosas, el material particulado fino que salen de los tubos de escape de dichos vehículos, en especial si se van a construir ciclovías a centímetros de las vías donde éstos circulan, a pesar de existir espacio amplio en las avenidas para implementarlas en su parte más central, de forma de inspirar el oxígeno proveniente de sus árboles, arbustos y pasto y no los referidos gases tóxicos, o es mucho pedir…
