La Dirección Meteorológica de Chile informa que, entre el martes 31 y el sábado 4 de junio, se espera ingreso de un frente climático con intensas lluvias, que generaría intensas nevadas en la zona cordillerana, situación que podría afectar el funcionamiento del complejo fronterizo Los Libertadores implementándose plan de contingencia. En cuanto a precipitaciones en el valle podrían iniciarse la noche del miércoles o madrugada del jueves, estimándose que pueden caer entre 60 a 70 milímetros.
Según los pronósticos de la Dirección Meteorológica de Chile para los próximos 5 días, el paso Los Libertadores se mantendrá cubierto y con nevadas, registrando una variación de la isoterma cero entre 1500 metros y 2700 metros.
Debido a la situación descrita anteriormente, la Gobernación Provincial de Los Andes y la Unidad de Pasos Fronterizos les sugieren a los usuarios tomar en consideración estas recomendaciones al momento de planificar su viaje:
- Infórmese del pronóstico meteorológico y chequear el estado de la ruta entre Chile y Argentina el día previo al inicio de su viaje.
- Si programa su viaje para esta semana, es recomendable portar abrigo, comida, agua y pañales sobre todo si viaja con niños o personas de la tercera edad. Recuerde que los complejos fronterizos están situados en la alta montaña, con un trayecto que alcanza más de 3 mil metros de altura en algunos tramos.
- Asegúrese de contar con el combustible necesario para su vehículo y de chequear su estado general, asegurarse que cuenta con los implementos de seguridad y reparaciones en caso de imprevistos en ruta. Chequee que su neumático de repuesto se encuentre en buen estado y con presión de aire suficiente para ser usado.
